Phoenix is launching a new campaign to ensure that our homes are occupied by genuine tenants and that people in housing need don’t miss out on a good quality home. We would like all Phoenix residents to help us tackle housing fraud. You will receive a letter with more information about this.

It is now illegal for tenants to rent their whole home to another person without first getting their landlord’s permission. This is called unauthorised subletting or housing fraud. People found guilty of unauthorised subletting can receive up to two years imprisonment and / or a fine of £5,000.
