The Bromley and Downham Youth Club in Valeswood Road closed at the end of March, as Bromley Youth Agency had not renewed funding (typical of Bromley - what have they ever done for the estate?!)

However, Downham Pride have now stepped in with a £30,000 grant to fund the centre, which can attract up to 150 young people a week.

The doors will open again from June 10 2002. Mondays are for 11 to 14 year olds, Wednesdays for 8 to 11, and Thursdays for 14 and over.
