So what of the future?

Well, you've heard the illustration that some people view a glass as either being half full or half empty - which do you think applies to Downham?

"Nothing ever changes"
"Nobody listens"
"Nobody cares"
"Same old story"

or

"Things can only get better"
"We live in hope"
"The best is yet to come"
"Look on the bright side"

Whether you're an optimist, a pessimist or a realist (and careful - most pessimists think that they are realists!) then drop us an email with your thoughts.

Finally, whether you consider yourself as religious or not, when you think about Downham you might find that you could agree with this traditional prayer:

"Lord, give me strength to change the things that I can change, grace to accept the things that I cannot change, and wisdom to know the difference!"
